Eyewitness NewsNEW YORK (WABC) -- A new study offers more reasons than ever to hang up your cell phone while driving.
A traffic safety group reports that up to 25 percent of all crashes in the U.S. are blamed on distracted drivers, primarily those using cell phones or other devices.
Researchers also found all drivers are distracted up to half the time.
And texting while driving is even more dangerous than cell phone use.The group recommends banning all cell phones, whether hand held or hands free, while driving.
