NEW YORK (WABC) -- There is discouraging news about Borders. According to The Wall Street Journal, the bookstore chain is teetering on the brink of liquidation after a recent offer from a private-equity investor fell apart Wednesday.
The development raises the prospect that Borders will soon close all its remaining 399 stores and go out of business.
