9-year-old performs CPR on collapsed mom

  Eyewitness NewsLOUISIANA (WABC) -- A 9-year-old boy is being hailed as a hero after his quick thinking helped save his mother's life.

Andrew Gordon called 911 after his mother collapsed inside their home in Louisiana.

Not only did the boy keep calm, he also performed CPR on his mother, guided by the 911 operator.

"They said go turn her over, pinch her, see if she wake up," Gordon said. "She didn't, so he said do CPR, and I did CPR."

Gordon said he learned what to do in an emergency at his elementary school.
