Eyewitness NewsNEW YORK (WABC) -- Staples is hoping fewer stores equals larger profits. The office supply giant plans to close 30 stores in the United States and downsize 30 others before the end of the year.
It is also shutting 45 stores and delivery businesses in Europe.
The company say streamlining will improve productivity, while saving $250 million annually over the next three years.---
