Paralyzed bride-to-be determined to walk down aisle

  Eyewitness NewsOHIO (WABC) -- An Ohio bride-to-be who was left paralyzed while helping a man who crashed his car on the highway is is determined to walk down the aisle, even though right now she's in a wheelchair.

Alissa Boyle was helping the accident victim when an out-of-control truck forced her to jump from the overpass.

Boyle, a nursing student, woke up paralyzed below the waist just two days after her longtime boyfriend proposed.

But her spinal cord wasn't completely cut, and she is now making progress in physical therapy.

Boyle will get married next September.
