See it on TV? Check here.   Eyewitness NewsNEW YORK (WABC) -- The national symbol is on the mend in Washington state because of a caring citizen.

Robert Hutton rescued an injured bald eagle from the middle of a road in Spokane.

Veterinarians think the eagle may have eaten something toxic or may have been hit by a car, or possibly both.

They've named the bird Glen.

Doctors say now that he's on antibiotics and has a fighting chance to survive.

They hope to release him back into the wild one day.
