Teen saves woman after car plunges into pool

  Eyewitness NewsCALIFORNIA (WABC) -- A young man in California is being called a hero for saving a woman trapped inside a car that ended up in a swimming pool.

Police say 33-year-old Robert Anderson lost control of his car, crashed through a fence and landed in the pool.

Anderson managed to swim to safety, but his girlfriend was tangled in her seat belt.

That's when neighbor Jarit Wells jumped in the water and pulled her to safety.

The woman remains in critical condition.
