Eyewitness NewsTUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona is marking the one-year anniversary of the Gabrielle Giffords shooting with a series of events, including a city-wide bell-ringing at the moment of the attack in Tucson, speeches on behalf of the victims, and an evening candlelight vigil that Giffords and her husband will attend.
The key events of the days are as follows (all times MST), and developments will be expedited throughout the day.
10:11 a.m.: People around Tucson will ring bells to mark the moment of the shooting. 1 p.m.: Interfaith service where people of all faiths are invited to gather and remember the tragedy.3-4:30 p.m.: Speakers reflect on the lives of the people involved in the tragedy. Speeches will be given for each person who died, in addition to separate speeches for Giffords and the survivors.
6:30 p.m.: Candlelight vigil. Giffords, husband Mark Kelly and the surgeon who operated on the congresswoman will attend.
