Study: Caffeine and conception

Lila Corn, Eyewitness NewsNEW YORK (WABC) -- New research shows that caffeine consumption may make it harder for a woman to get pregnant.

The study, done in mice, found that caffeine interferes with muscle contractions that help eggs travel from the ovaries into the womb.

Caffeine is found in coffee, tea, colas, chocolate and some medicines.

The study by the University of Nevada School of Medicine was published in the British Journal of Pharmacology. (Copyright ©2011 WABC-TV/DT. All Rights Reserved.) Get more Health News »
